Garden Talk

Hello. It's been a while and I've missed being here. Would you like to see what's happening in the garden? I was out picking strawberries this evening and couldn't help but notice what else was growing and blooming.
The foxglove are standing straight and tall :: so pretty.
They're scattered here and there throughout the garden, mixed in with other cottage-style perennials and some veggies too.
My friend told me a little saying about perennials:
***
the first year they sleep
the second year they creep
the third year they leap
***
It's year two for many of these and I'd say they're already leaping! We're trying out a little patch of square-foot gardening this year. Hubby constructed the parts and pieces and the planting is almost complete. I'll be back to show you how it's turning out.
