New Pajamas

When I started blogging last year I never imagined that I'd be showing you my pajamas. But today, I'm even going to model them for you. These pajama pants are the second project that I've made from Heather Ross' new book Weekend Sewing. They were super easy to whip up and I really like how they turned out.
I made the adult medium and they fit perfectly (I wear a ladies size 8). The rise is just right in my opinion :: not too low and not too high. I chose to make them out of a thrifted sheet, so I used the hemmed edge of the sheet on the bottom thus eliminating a step. When I make the next pair (and I definitely will be making more) I'll shorten the pattern a little bit to compensate for the pre-hemmed leg. The tie on the front is just a piece of twill tape sewn on for fun not function.
I'm thinking a couple of these made into cropped pajamas would be fun too! If you'd like to see what others are making from Weekend Sewing, take a peek here.

  1. Loving both the fabric and the pattern, I may have to make some of my own!
