Hubby and I took a little trip. It all started with an invitation for a girls' day of wedding gown shopping in New York City. My future daughter-in-law and her mom asked me to come along :: how nice was that? And then I got to thinking....maybe hubby could travel with me (not for the gown shopping part) and we could have our anniversary getaway that never happened. So that's just what we did.
The boys were happy to attend a Yankee's game while the girls had a full day of shopping (no photos of gowns :: it's strictly confidential). And yes, we did meet Randy.

For the anniversary part of the trip, hubby and I had fun exploring the city. We took a taxi to Soho and visited this lovely little shop. If you've never visited their blog you should definitely check it out. It's overflowing with ideas and free tutorials.
I absolutely splurged on one yard of Liberty of London Fabric and also picked up a few other treasures for my stash (photos soon).
To make an already great weekend even greater, we enjoyed a very healthy dinner at Pure Food and Wine. It's a completely vegetarian raw food restaurant. Thanks Hubby. You're the best sport ever.
I'll never be a city girl but visiting sure is fun.
I don't think I could handle NYC, lol. Your post of a future MIL gown shopping with her future DIL reminded me of a recent episode from Bethenny Getting Married? Love that show!!!
