After The Rain

It's been raining since Wednesday and according to our little weather meter, the accumulation totals 1.80 inches. This evening the fog is lifting and things are clearing up a bit. The grass is tall and green and the plants are bursting with energy. Come walk around the yard with me. We have to hurry before it gets dark. This geranium blooms and blooms throughout the entire summer. It brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. And the morning glory, started from seed, is coming right along. It will soon be twisting and turning as it climbs up the garden trellis.
Hello my Pia Hydrangea. It's a miniature version of the real thing. So pretty, isn't it?
These Kim's Knee High Coneflower are the star of the garden bed. They never disappoint.
Here we have some potted geranium on the glider, and lots of new strawberry plants underneath and around. My feathered friends are enjoying the fruit. It's O.K.. We don't mind sharing.
The coleus and sweet potato vine suffered during a cold spell we had a couple of weeks ago. They're starting to bounce back though and will soon be spilling over the pots providing bright vivid color to our patio.
Whoops! It's getting dark and the shed lights have come on. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
On a side note, there was a little mishap with the yogurt making yesterday. Completely and without a doubt, user error. I'm getting ready to try again and will persevere until I get it just right.
Happy Friday!!
