The potager garden is just exploding with lushness right now (I'll show you some photos soon) so today I decided to clip some basil and make pesto. This is my first attempt, even though I've been growing basil for years.

I used
this recipe, a pretty basic one I think. Instead of using pine nuts, I used walnuts just because that's what I had on hand.

I'm not sure why I've never done this before :: it was so easy and turned out really tasty. I plan to use it as:

:: as the base of a pasta salad
